Part of the Culture- Independence Day Celeberation

September 16th marked Mexico's Bicentennial Anniversary .  It was quite the celebration.  Downtown Puerto Vallarta was filled with thousands of locals and a "few tourists" who tried to blend in.  It was our pleasure to be part of such a huge day and celebration!

Hiding from the rain, with our favorite neighbors, on our walk down to the fiesta.  It seems to follow us where ever we go.
The BEST Street tacos EVER!
Pastore and Chirrizo are my favorites.I try to stay away from Lengua- That translates to tongue in English
The Malecon
My friend, " The Hugger".  (Hey Bellina, she's even got you beat- just when I thought I might get a break.  Seems like you huggin' kind exist all over the world. )
Just blending in.  Hmmmm...
Viva Mexico!

The crowd grew silent in anticipation.
Then the chanting began, "Viva, Viva Mexico!".  I can still feel the energy of the people.
